ESNCHS' SSG, YES-O, AND BKD TAKE OATHS OF SERVICE FOR S.Y. 2022-2023

The newly elected officers for student organizations, the Supreme Student Government (SSG), Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O), and Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD)—from Grade Level Representatives to the Presidents of each—took their oaths to serve Eastern Samar National Comprehensive High School (ESNCHS) on Monday, September 26.

Organized by the ESNCHS' SSG - Commission on Elections (ComElec), the Oathtaking Ceremony was administered by the School Principal, Mrs. Hazel B. Meneses, along with the organizations' Presidents.

Given the forum to voice her insights, YES-O President, Reina Bing Apa, shared her initiative in looking after the school's environment in her take for the Presidents' acceptance speech.

"One of my administration's focus, is solid waste management. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. Together, we must cooperate to achieve our endeavors for the environment," Apa expressed.

Along with YES-O's campaign, BKD President, Lianne Mae Belizar, pledges to regulate the school's environment in social aspects, through the redirection of students' recreation towards a way against drugs.

"The platform I mentioned during our DFBKD elections is the #SayNoToDrugs. I want to realign the coping mechanism of my peers," Belizar stated. "I want to let other people know that there are better ways to solve their problems and to cope, without using drugs and putting their health at stake," she added.

On top of the advocacies raised, the SSG President, Gerlyn Rose Duran, declared to govern the aspirations to regulate the students' learning environment and peer influence.

"I aim to build a student government which will help every student maximize their learning and potential in school as well as the opportunities they could get from education," Duran proclaimed.

She then reintroduced her administration's platform; G for Go for Green, O for Operation Renovation of School Establishments (ROSE), A for Aliw, L for Laban para sa Comprehenyos and S for School Website (GOALS), that are set to promote both academic and real-life intellect.

All student organizations are under the SSG administration. Duran calls for open arms in alliance for the accomplishment of the visions that the organizations have for this school year.

"Together, we must work hand in hand to make our school an even better place to learn at. Now that you have chosen me as your president, I am ready to deliver the promises that I made. It is time to act and DO something with tRANsparency."
