BORONGAN CITY, Eastern Samar -- Eastern Samar National Comprehensive High School (ESNCHS) remains in place in readiness as their bide lingers to the approval that accords to the guidelines in implementing the Pilot Testing of Limited Face-to-Face Classes, while there are recurring cases within its setting in Brgy. Alang-Alang; clouding the set date of the pursuance.

In light of this, the school was required to undergo the Location Risk Assessment and the School Safety Assessment that is administered by the Department of Education (DepEd) and the Department of Health (DOH) before it pursues the Pilot Testing. As to why the accordance to the scheduled date back January 12 that was, moreover, moved to January 28, was disallowed after the number of COVID-19 cases within the school's setting rose to three individuals since December, withdrawing the pursuance's "go signal." Hence, the guidelines have also prohibited any furtherance of the implementation in 28 days.

Nevertheless, ESNCHS waits for the number of COVID-19 cases within its barangay to clear up as per the guidelines structured by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases Resolutions (IATF).

The in-person classes were to limit the attendees to only the following grade levels in the respective Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) track:

12 - Caregiving

12 - Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM)

12 - Cookery

The currently prepared rooms that will be used in the conduct of classes were already checked; latter to their preparation in the availability of all the facilities needed as well as the utilities in logging Students' Contact Information.

To ensure the safety of all, COVID-19 Vaccination will be required for students and teachers. Notably, teachers who have not acquired full vaccination and booster, would not be allowed to handle any classes in the face-to-face set-up. And, whereas, if there would be any report of illness, the Isolation Facility within the school would be accessible as well as the service of the four available nurses.

It is devised that there will be 15 occupants per room. Noting that every session would have a limited duration that is different for every strand, given that the classes will not be scheduled on an everyday set-up to avoid crowding.

Furthermore, the in-person classes would not be a "purely classroom setup", for it could be a combination of school-based and home-based since students and teachers are given the choice to opt-out depending on the importance of the lectures in every session.
